I love you’re on your own kid so much for so many reasons but one of the biggest ones is just that. there’s no turn, there’s no key change, there’s no moment of triumph or change. the same thing happens, the same structure is used, nothing gets better, things just get HARDER. but she endures. and as she endures there are so many elements of her situation that still don’t necessarily change but her perspective does. and it’s so subtle and matter of fact and un-dramatic but it’s everything?? I looked around in a blood-soaked gown and I saw something they can’t take away. I just. I’ve never seen someone articulate the shift from childhood into adulthood more precisely, more heartbreakingly, more truthfully. and it’s not discovering love, and it’s not achieving success, it’s a completely internal and completely clear-eyed, and still sad discovery of her own strength. and the peace in it is just the peace of facing reality. and it just kills me every time.
maybe there’s a problem with tone for me everything is too tone down at the moment they forgot to show us a moment that led to billys addiction, to show us the impact him going to rehab really had in the band and on camila, daisys been turned into a sweet person suddenly wich is weird
im not gonna say “i dont like the show” because its not true i liked it but i miss some things!! at least ep03 went a little less monotonous than the last two
